As an Amazon Associate, Hone & Handle earns from qualifying purchases. Hone & Handle is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.
How the links work
Product links on this site pass through our own redirect at /go/ before reaching the retailer. That redirect adds our Amazon Associates tracking identifier (tfb-honehandle-20) so the retailer knows the visit came from here.
If you then buy something, Amazon pays us a small percentage of the sale. The price you pay is exactly the same — the commission comes out of the retailer's margin, not out of your pocket.
Every earning link on this site carries rel="sponsored nofollow", which is how Google asks publishers to mark commercial links, and every one is accompanied by a visible #ad label.
What commission does not affect
- What we recommend. We link to Amazon, which sells every brand we cover, so there is no commercial reason to favor one over another.
- The order we rank things in. The cheapest knife on this site wins two of its roundups. That is not an accident and it is the clearest evidence we can offer that ranking is not commission-led.
- What we say about a product's weaknesses. Every single pick on this site names who it is not for.
What we do not do
- We do not accept payment for placement or for a ranking position.
- We do not accept free products in exchange for a favorable review, and we have not been given any.
- We do not publish sponsored posts or sell links.
- We do not publish fabricated reviews, ratings or testimonials. There are none on this site at all, because we have no verified ones.
About prices and availability
Prices and availability are shown by the retailer at the time you click through, and they change. Anything displayed on their page at checkout is authoritative; nothing on this page is.
This site currently displays no price figures at all. We render a price only from a live, dated, verified feed, and we do not have one connected yet — so every buy button reads "Check price on Amazon" instead of showing a number that might be weeks out of date. Why we work this way.
Where disclosure appears
On every page where money is present: the homepage, every section hub, and every page carrying product links. Not buried on this page alone. That is a deliberate choice — it is common in this category for sites to run affiliate links with no visible disclosure on the homepage or in the footer at all.
